When asked if Shah Rukh Khan is “stuck” romancing “20-year-olds” while she plays diverse parts, Kajol responds.
Kajol is known for her roles in some of Bollywood’s most iconic films, but in a recent interview, she was asked about her co-star Shah Rukh Khan. The interviewer asked if he was “stuck” romancing 20-year-olds on-screen, to which Kajol responded.
“I think he’s very comfortable doing that. He’s very comfortable with his age and he’s very comfortable with his audience,” she said.
Kajol also spoke about how she chooses her roles, saying that she looks for something that she can connect with on a personal level.
“It has to be a story that I would want to watch, even if I’m not in it. And it has to be a character that I can understand, that I can empathize with,” she said.
It’s refreshing to see Kajol speaking so candidly about her co-star and her own career choices. It’s clear that she’s not afraid to take on diverse roles, and that she has a lot of respect for Shah Rukh Khan.
