YouTube Adds ‘Continue Watching’ Feature on Web to Resume Partially Played Videos From Your Phone: Report

According to reports, YouTube is adding a new feature that allows users to continue to watch videos from mobile phones and other devices on the Internet through its Miniplayer. When users watch part of the video on YouTube on Android or iOS and close the video, using the latest features, they will be able to restore the same video by opening YouTube on the web.

The video will appear in the lower right corner of the YouTube website, and the text “Continue Watching” will appear directly below the video title in the mini player. YouTube launched the Miniplayer feature for all desktop users as early as 2018, which allows users to fold videos into a smaller window at the bottom of the screen so that users can browse YouTube at the same time. YouTube’s new features were first reported by 9to5Google.

According to the report, users can use YouTube’s Miniplayer to continue to watch videos on the Internet through mobile phones and other devices. The small video player will have a play button to resume playback from where the user interrupted on the phone. Clicking anywhere in the floating window will take the user to the complete video page. According to the report, the latest feature is also applicable to YouTube on Android TV, and users need to log in to the same Google account to enable synchronization.

YouTube has not officially announced the launch of this feature. Gadgets 360 was unable to verify the new features on the YouTube website. In similar development, YouTube is also testing a new feature that allows users to download videos on their desktop web browser. Until October 19th, this feature will be available as an experimental feature for premium subscribers, but YouTube may officially launch soon.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.

The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.

Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.

It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
