9 killed, 27 injured as bus collides with truck in UP’s Barabanki
A truck and a bus collided in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, killing at least 9 people and seriously injuring 27 others. Magistrate Adarsh Singh said: “In Barabanki, a truck collided with a bus, causing 9 deaths and 27 injuries.”

At around 5:30 am on Thursday, the tourist bus arrived at Baburi village on the Kisan Path in Deva Kotwali area, when a truck coming from the other end “suddenly raged” and collided head-on.
According to eyewitnesses, since buses and trucks were traveling at very high speeds, debris from heavy vehicles fell off. After receiving the news of the accident, the relevant persons in charge of the County Public Security Bureau and the County Public Security Bureau rushed to the scene.

According to reports, when the wounded were taken to the district hospital, the doctors declared nine of them dead upon arrival. At the same time, Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, expressed his grief over the incident and announced that an ex-gratia payment of 200,000 rupees was provided to the relatives of each deceased, and to everyone injured in the incident. A special offer of 50,000 rupees is provided. The Chief Minister of UP expressed condolences for the loss of life in the traffic accident. He said that he was with the family of the deceased and instructed state officials to provide appropriate treatment and all possible help and relief to the injured.
