MIUI 13 is under development, and now the source code shows that the update may be released with the Mi 12 series. The new series is expected to include Mi 12 and Mi 12X models. The code indicates that the upcoming Mi 12X may be released together with MIUI 13, but the update will be based on Android 11 instead of Android 12. It is expected that the same fate will also affect the Redmi K50. It also lists a list of devices that may be the first to get the MIUI 13-based Android 12 update.

Xiaomi ui reports that Xiaomi 12X may be out of the box with MIUI 13 based on Android 11. According to reports, the latest test version of this phone is V13.0.0.56.RLDCNXM. The latest stable beta version of Mi 12X is V13.0.0.46.RLDMIXM, suggesting that it will use MIUI 13 based on Android 11 out of the box. Although Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12X may be equipped with MIUI 13 based on Android 11, they are expected to be updated to Android 12 in the future.

The report added that the first batch of phones to get the latest beta update and stable MIUI 13 based on Android 12 update are Mi Mix 4, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40, Mi 10S and Mi 11 Lite 5G .

In addition to the first batch of mobile phones that received the MIUI 13 update, Xiaomi also listed a series of mobile phones that will eventually receive the update. This includes Mi 10 series and Mi 10T series. Mi 11 series, Mi 11T series, Mi Civi, Mi Mix 4, Mi Mix Fold, Mi Pad 5 series and Mi Note 10 series.

According to the report, Redmi 9T, Redmi 9 Power, Redmi 10X 5G, Redmi 10X Pro, Redmi 10 and Redmi 10 Prime will also get Android 12 based on MIUI 13. Redmi K30 series and Redmi K40 series phones are also eligible for the update. According to the report, Redmi Note 9 series, Redmi Note 10 series and Redmi Note 11 series will also be updated.

Past reports indicate that MIUI 13 may be released on December 16.
