For the first time, Sai Pallavi dubs her own lines in Kannada for Gargi

On Monday, Sai Pallavi’s birthday, the first trailer for Gautham Ramachandran’s upcoming trilingual film Gargi was released. She shared the video on Twitter, which included footage from the filming of some scenes and gave a glimpse into the making of the film. Pallavi can be seen in a dubbing suite near the end of the video repeating her lines in three languages: Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Pallavi is seen struggling to get her Kannada lines right in the video, but she eventually succeeds. Pallavi will be making her Kannada debut with this project, and she has dubbed her own lines.

“I waited months to talk about this film, and finally!!!” she wrote on Twitter after sharing the video. The obstinate team finally caved in and released this on my birthday. “I present you with GARGI (sic).” According to the trailer and the first look poster, the film will be set in a courtroom.

She also shared the film’s posters in English, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada in another tweet. She wrote alongside the posters, “Gargi (red heart emoji). Send her your best wishes!”

Sai Pallavi was last seen in the Telugu film Shyam Singh Roy, in which she played a Devadasi character, and Nani, a writer-activist who falls in love with her, referred to her as Rosie. She is currently waiting for the Telugu film Virataparvam to be released. In this Venu Udugala-directed film, she plays a Naxalite alongside Rana Daggubati, Priyamani, and Nandita Das.

Sai Pallavi’s character in the film is based on Belli Lalitha, a popular folk singer-turned-activist who was a key figure in the Telangana region’s fight for statehood in the early 1990s. In 1999, she was kidnapped and murdered.

Virataparvam illuminates the Naxal movement, particularly the moral dilemma that existed in the previous decade. Sai Pallavi’s Telugu film Love Story, in which she co-starred Naga Chaitanya, was one of her biggest hits of the year.

Sonakshi Sinha admits on The Great Indian Kapil Show that, when given Alia and Kiara’s example, “mujhe zor se shaadi karni hai.”

Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal—the cast of Heeramandi—will be the show’s guests.

The female cast of Heeramandi, Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh will be featured in an upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. In a new trailer for the episode that Netflix India unveiled on Wednesday, Kapil was seen making fun of Sonakshi’s wedding preparations.

The Heeramandi cast was seen in the teaser queue for panipuri at the stand, where Kapil was the vendor. “Bhaiya, sab ke liye paanipuri (serve for everyone)!” Sonakshi begs. In response, Kapil states that none of them would be served since they are not the ones who will call him “brother” or “bhaiya.”

Richa required the most retakes overall.

Manisha Koirala claims in another scene that there was anxiety before every scene on the set. The cast is then questioned by Richa about how many retakes they had ever had. Sonakshi responds that she didn’t need more than 12 tries. Everyone is shocked to learn that Richa offered 99 retakes in her response. Kiku Sharda made an appearance in one episode dressed like a courtesan, and his antics made everyone laugh.

Sonakshi discussing her wedding arrangements

As this is happening, Kapil informs Sonakshi that Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani are now wed. “Jale pe namak chirak rahe ho,” is her response. He knows how much I want to be married, therefore you are adding salt to my wounds, woh janta hei mujhe kitne zor se shaadi karni he.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the director of Heeramandi, which debuted on Netflix on May 1. The show tells the tales of courtesans and their clients against the turbulent backdrop of the 1940s Indian freedom movement, exploring the cultural milieu of the vibrant Heeramandi region.
