‘Lord Shiva doesn’t need a structure,’ Kangana Ranaut says of the Gyanvapi Mosque row.

Kangana Ranaut paid a visit to Varanasi on Wednesday ahead of the release of her film Dhaakad. Her co-stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta were also present for the visit. Following the darshan, Kangana was surrounded by reporters who questioned her about the Kashi Vishwanath temple-Gyanvapi Mosque controversy that is currently raging in India.

A Varanasi court ordered the sealing of a pond in the Gyanvapi Masjid complex on Monday after lawyers for Hindu petitioners claimed a Shivling was discovered there during the court-ordered videography survey. A member of the mosque management committee, on the other hand, refuted the claim, claiming that the object was part of the water fountain mechanism at the ‘wazookhana’ reservoir, where devotees perform ablutions before offering namaz. The mosque is close to Varanasi’s iconic Kashi Vishwanath temple, and a court there is hearing a petition from a group of women seeking permission to pray daily before the idols on the mosque’s outer walls.

“There’s Lord Krishna in every particle of Mathura and Lord Ram in every particle of Ayodhya,” Kangana said. Similarly, Lord Shiva can be found in every atom of Kashi. He doesn’t require a structure because he is present in every particle.”

Kangana Ranaut frequently shares her hot take on national and social issues on her Instagram page and in interviews with the media. She recently added to the debate over whether Hindi is the national language, even defending Mahesh Babu’s claim that Bollywood can’t afford him. She said, “I agree with him (Babu) that Bollywood cannot afford him (with). Many filmmakers have approached him, I know for a fact.”

“His generation is responsible for making Telugu cinema the most popular in India. He can no longer be supported by Bollywood. “I don’t see why this has become such a big deal,” Kangana said. “He (Babu) has only shown a great deal of respect for his industry, and we can’t deny that Telugu films have improved over the last 10-15 years… Nothing was served to them on a silver platter. She stated, “We only have a lot to learn from them.”
