Leaving for the US, according to Mallika Sherawat, was a wise move: “Dekhi jayegi,” I thought I could take over the world

Mallika Sherawat has spoken candidly about her choice to leave Bollywood after becoming well-known and move to the US in order to “explore different vistas.” With the 2004 film Murder, the actor established herself in the Hindi film industry. She afterwards appeared in a number of other movies. With the release of RK/RKay, a new film by Rajat Kapoor, she has returned to Hindi cinema.

Mallika claimed that she has always had a “devil-may-care” mentality in a recent interview. The actor claimed that when she left for the US, her mindset was the same as when she left her home to go in Bollywood.

“I had this idea that I could rule the world” (will see). coming from the Jat (a Hindu caste) mentality and from Haryana. I disobeyed, packed my bag, and left for Bombay. It fortunately worked out for me. When I moved to the US, I had the same mindset, she said, according to ETimes.

According to Mallika, her choice was “fruitful” because she had two meetings with Barack Obama, who was the US President at the time, collaborated on a music video with Bruno Mars, and appeared in the indie film Politics of Love. “I felt the time was perfect to explore other perspectives and various cultures after working in Bollywood for 5-7 years. In that circumstance, I thought to myself, why not. I have nothing to lose. I’ve established enough of a reputation in India. I have money. I’m well known. Let’s attempt to travel to a new nation. And boy, was it a wise choice! Due to the affection that America has shown her, she said.

In RK/RKay, a comedy directed by Rajat Kapoor, Mallika portrays a 1960s actor. Along with actors Ranvir Shorey and Kubbra Sait, Rajat also appears in the movie, which opened in theatres on Friday. In 2019, Ekta Kapoor’s horror-comedy online series Booo Sabki Phategi served as Mallika’s final effort in India. Along with Tusshar Kapoor, Krushna Abhishek, Sanjay Mishra, Kiku Sharda, and Shefali Zariwala, she played a ghost in the production.

Fahadh Faasil says he doesn’t see himself as a pan-India celebrity and refers to Ranbir Kapoor as the “best actor in the country.”

According to Fahadh Faasil, he is in regular contact with pals from the Hindi film business. He also disclosed his intentions to direct a Hindi movie.

In a recent interview, Fahadh Faasil discussed his experience working in Hindi films.

Fahadh Faasil finds Ranbir Kapoor’s performances to be impressive. Ranbir was dubbed the “best actor in the country” by Fahadh in a recent interview with Film Companion. In addition, Fahadh discussed his feelings on being called a pan-Indian celebrity, stating that he is merely an actor who wants to work in films that he enjoys.

What Fahadh mentioned

When questioned about the influence of his films and his reputation as an actor, Fahadh responded in the interview, “I have to be honest. I don’t have to hide anything.” Here, I’m working on my stuff. With no offence intended. People don’t seem to anticipate magic from Pushpa or from me. It’s an act of true love and cooperation for Suku [Sukumar] Sir. This is where my stuff is. Quite evidently. I don’t get it because, along with many of my friends here, I think Vicky Kaushal is the best discovery of the decade. Among the best actors India has ever produced is Rajkummar Rao. I mean, Ranbir Kapoor is the finest actor in the nation. I’m not sure what people perceive in me, then.

Concerning one’s status as a pan-Indian celebrity

Fahadh also discussed his opinions on being viewed as a pan-Indian celebrity. “No, I’m just an actor,” he continued. I’m not involved with pan-Indian affairs. I simply go about my business. because I act on my convictions, because the notion is that films never make money. That’s just a side note. However, I am unable to complete the films I work on here anyplace else. In addition, he mentioned that he is excited to see what the public will learn from the movie and that he wants to talk to them when it is out.

Ranbir, meantime, was last seen in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which ended up becoming one of his biggest hits to date. He and Sai Pallavi will soon be seen together in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Actors’ on-set photos recently surfaced online and quickly gained popularity.
