When Natalie Portman was asked for a picture by Ranbir Kapoor, she said, “Get lost.”
Ranbir Kapoor has millions of followers all around the world, but he recently had a little bit of a fanboy moment when he ran into Hollywood icon Natalie Portman in New York City. In 2016, when he appeared to promote his movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, he recounted how they first met on The Kapil Sharma Show.
The phrase “Main New York ki sadak pe chal raha tha.” Actually, mujhe bohot zor ki bathroom aa rahi thi, main bhaag raha tha. Ise guzar rahi thi main bhaag raha tha hotel ki taraf aur woh phone pe baat karte hue. “Yaar, yeh toh Natalie Portman hai,” said Nazar mili toh maine socha. I was strolling down the streets of New York when I heard, “Ek photo, ek photo.” Toh main ghoom ke bhaag ke aaya aur kaha. Actually, I was running because I had to use the restroom immediately. She was walking by while on the phone as I ran in the direction of the hotel. I turned around, ran over to her, and asked for a picture when I realised she was Natalie Portman),” he recalled.
Ranbir was eager to take a photo with Natalie but was unaware that she was crying. Turning to him aggressively, she commanded, “Get lost, I say!”
Ranbir described the encounter and said that even though Natalie’s outburst shattered his heart, it did not change his opinion of her. “Main kuch kum fan ban gaya, par aisa nahi hai. It’s not like this has made me any more or less of a fan than I already am. Kal bhi agar woh mujhe sadak pe mil jaaye. I’ll ask for a photo with her once more if I run into her tomorrow on the street,” he declared.
In Luv Ranjan’s upcoming love drama, which pairs him with Shraddha Kapoor, Ranbir will soon be seen. Additionally, he will soon have the movie Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy.

Anushka Sharma was in full cheer mode as she rooted for her husband, Virat Kohli, and Team India during the India vs Australia Test match in Perth on Saturday. The actor was spotted enthusiastically cheering him on from the stands, and fans were totally loving her vibe. The actor was spotted in the stands during the ongoing Test match between India and Australia at Optus Stadium, Perth. Anushka kept her look simple in a white T-shirt teamed with denims. Several photos and videos from the stadium featuring the actor have surfaced on social media.
In one clip, she is clapping for the team, while in one she is standing with a plate in her hand. She was also spotted celebrating along with Sanjana Ganesan when Harshit Rana took Virat Kohli’s advice to dismiss Mitchell Starc.
Before the opening test got underway, Anushka and Virat along with their kids were spotted spending time in Perth. In the photo, Virat and Anushka are seen sipping coffee with their daughter, Vamika, sitting in a stroller.
Fans react
Fans were thrilled to see Anushka come out to support her husband and took to social media to express their admiration for the couple. “She is the great support of Kohli. Great couple,” wrote one user, with another sharing, “Queen supporting the king”.
“Bhabhi ji in the house,” exclaimed one user, with another mentioning, “Bhabhi ji arrived”. “Kohli’s ladyluck,” read one comment. One user wrote, “Anushka Supporting her charm”. “Queen of cricket,” gushed one user.

Anushka and Virat welcomed their elder daughter, Vamika, on January 11, 2021. They once again became parents to their younger son, Akaay, on February 15, 2024. They have not shown either of their kids’ faces to the world.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli divide their time between London and Mumbai as they have houses in both cities. Anushka has been away from films since her last release, Zero, in 2018. She finished Chakda Xpress, the biopic of Jhulan Goswami, in 2022. However, the film is yet to get a release date. Chakda Xpress is slated to be released on Netflix.
