Senior animator claims that Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is not a “kids movie” and has a sophisticated plot.
According to senior animator Ere Santos, Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse is not a “kid’s movie” and features a sophisticated plot. The movie, which would be released the next year, also features Dhanush as the voice of Pavitr Prabhakar.
Undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited films of the coming year is Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse. The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel will be released in theatres next summer. The sequel is not a “kid’s movie,” according to senior animator Ere Santos.
Although Dhanush’s Pavitr Prabhakar is one of the movie’s new characters and a member of the group of Spider-People tasked with defending the globe, no other information on the plot or its potential relevance to India has been released. Ere Santos, a senior character animator, has made it seem as though Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is not a family film.
He stated: “It was a tremendously difficult project. As a result, there were many frustrating moments, as every production experiences. However, what kind of kept us going was that if we got irritated or something changed or a sequence was shortened, we’d see a fresh render and say, “Okay, alright? Let’s move forward. Additionally, several of the decisions that people made in the novel had me scratching my head. Okay, no problem. Is this a children’s film? I think it’s not a family film. I see, cool. Oh, that’s OK. I am therefore extremely, extremely, extremely excited.”
Ere Santos added the following when discussing the film’s mature themes in an interview with The Direct: “To be more precise, I believe that what makes it so thrilling are the various art forms they employ, the various impacts they have on the various images, and the various worlds you can visit. There has already been a lot stated, but from an insider’s perspective, I’ve observed things in the movie that I’ve never seen in other works of art. And I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
It was announced earlier this month that The Spot, played by Jason Schwartzman, will serve as the antagonist in the upcoming two sequels. On June 2, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theatres.

In an interview with Times Now, she questioned whether she joined politics due to her movies’ poor box office performance, comparing it to Shah Rukh Khan’s previous unsuccessful films.

Kangana responded to a question about her career, stating that she has never had a flop. She compared Shah Rukh Khan’s films to Pathaan, Queen, and Manikarnika, noting that if she had a flop in Emergency, it would be a big hit. Kangana compared her career to Shah Rukh Khan, who had consecutive flops for ten years. She also mentioned that she had not had a single hit for 7-8 years before Queen, but after that, she had a few good movies.
No stars from OTT?
The last generation of stars, known for their talent and demand, are now able to showcase their talents more through OTT. However, the author expresses a desire to involve themselves more with the real world, rather than being consumed by the arts, stating that they are not satisfied with the current status quo.
