Arriving with a 108MP camera and 120Hz OLED display is the Xiaomi 12 Lite

After several significant leaks and a brief teaser campaign, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is now formally unveiled. The phone has a 108MP main camera, a 120Hz OLED screen, and an extremely low price.

The 6.55″ AMOLED display with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support is a carryover from the 11 Lite 5G NE, from which the 12 Lite is the direct descendant. The punch hole, which is located in the center of the new gadget, can be used to distinguish the two. The new panel provides capability for 240Hz touch sampling rate and 120Hz refresh rate.

The 6nm Snapdragon 778G processor, which is once more paired with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, is unchanged.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite’s main camera on the back sports a Samsung HM2 sensor and an aperture of f/1.9. A 2 MP macro camera and an 8 MP f/2.4 ultrawide camera are placed next to it.

Like all other Xiaomi 12 smartphones that are sold internationally, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has a 4,300 mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging, and the adapter is included in the box. The smartphone supports multiple SIMs and dual 5G standby, but availability may vary by market. Based on Android 12, MIUI 13 serves as the user interface.

Black, Pink, and Green are the three colour options for the Xiaomi 12 Lite, which is also available in three memory tiers. The base 6/128 GB model costs $400, the 8/128 GB upgrade costs $450, and the top 8/256 GB model costs $500. Pre-orders are now being accepted through Xiaomi-approved online outlets.

Diljit responded, “We used to read that ‘Mera Bharat Mahan’ (My India is great), but when I travelled across India, I realised why people say this.” PM Modi highlighted India’s diversity, saying, “India’s vastness is its strength. We are a vibrant society.”

Diljit added, “The greatest magic in India is yoga.” PM Modi agreed, saying, “Those who have experienced yoga know its power.”

The singer-actor also admired PM Modi’s personal journey, saying, “I had watched your interview, sir. The position of Prime Minister is great, but behind it, there is a mother, a son, and a human being. Many times, this half-truth is much larger when you carry your mother and the sacred Ganga with you. That touches the heart.”

Diljit then sang a song on Guru Nanak, as PM Modi listened intently, beating the adjacent table like a dholak, matching his beats with Diljit’s.
