JSW Cement forays into construction chemicals

JSW Cement on Monday said it has forayed into the construction chemicals segment with the launch of its green product line-up in the category. The range includes ‘Enduro Plast’ readymix plaster, ‘Crysta Leakproof’ integral crystalline waterproofing compound and ‘Durafloor’ floorhardener, it said in a statement.

JSW Cement has set up a 0.3 million tonne manufacturing facility in Ballari, Karnataka to produce its construction chemical product range.

It has started the roll-out of these products and will cover major markets across Karnataka.

Mubeen Hussain, Business Head – Construction Chemicals, JSW Cement said that the construction chemicals and drymix industry sector is worth around Rs 12,000 crore and is expected to grow at 10 per cent year-on-year compound annual growth in the next few years.

He said, “With advances in green product technologies, the sector will see a dynamic shift in by-product engineered compositions derived from traditional manufacturing mix ratios. These product segments are expected to grow four times by 2024-25.”

JSW Cement Limited is part of the USD 12 billion JSW Group, an Indian conglomerate with interests in steel, energy, infrastructure, cement, enterprises and paints.

The Adani Enterprises unit has received a letter of approval for an NH project in Maharashtra

Adani Road Transport Ltd (ARTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has received LoA for a project involving six laning of Kagal-Satara section of NH-48 (old NH4) in Maharashtra. The project will be executed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana at ₹2,008.47 crores. The construction period for the 67-km long road project is expected to be 2 years from the date of appointment and the concession period will be 18 years.

With this project award, Adani’s road portfolio will have total 14 projects with more than 5,000 lane km with asset value exceeding ₹41,000 crore spread across India.
