Karnataka: The Body Of Corona Patient Was Taken For Burial On A Bicycle
Congress leader DK Shivakumar has targeted the Yeddyurappa government over the plight of Corona patients in Karnataka. DK Shivakumar has raised the issue of a 70-year-old corona patient who died in Belagavi.
DK Shivakumar wrote in a tweet, “A 70-year-old man died of corona in Kittur in Belagavi. The family of the deceased had to take the dead body on a bicycle for the last rites amid heavy rains. ”DK Shivakumar asked where Chief Minister Yeddyurappa is your government. Why no ambulance was provided for the deceased. Shivkumar said that there is no such thing as Insaniyat in the incompetent government of Karnataka and it is a complete failure to control the epidemic.
There are many reports of irresponsibility with dead bodies coming from different parts of the country. A few days ago a similar sad scene was seen in Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, in which a dead body was taken on a cart for the funeral. Later, the administration ordered strict action in this matter. A few days ago similar news came from Maharashtra where several bodies were kept on an ambulance and taken away for a funeral. Such news has also come from Karnataka, while state governments often say that there is no shortage of ambulances.
Meanwhile, the confirmed number of corona cases in Karnataka has reached 2,26,966. Also, the number of patients who have been cured of this disease is 1,41,491. Seeing the figure of the dead, it has reached 3,947. At the level of the country, the condition of Corona is becoming frightening. The number of corona patients in the entire country has crossed 26 lakh. At the same time, more than 50 thousand people have lost their lives due to this epidemic. While the number of repaired people has crossed the 19 lakh mark. In the last 24 hours, 941 people have died from Corona.
