National Recruitment Institution Will Prove To Be A Boon For Crores Of Youth: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that the formation of the National Recruitment Agency will prove to be a boon for crores of youth of the country and it will get rid of the different examinations and save time as well as resources.

After the Union Cabinet approved the proposal to set up a National Recruitment Agency for conducting the Common Eligibility Test, Modi tweeted that this would further enhance transparency in the recruitment process.

He said, ‘National recruitment agency will prove to be a boon for crores of youth. This will eliminate individual exams through shared eligibility exams and will also save resources over time. This will strengthen transparency. ‘

After the cabinet meeting, Information and Broadcasting Minister Javadekar told reporters, ‘The youth have to take many different exams for the job at present. There are about 20 recruitment agencies for such examinations and candidates have to go to other places to take the exam.

He said that there was a long-standing demand to remove problems in this regard. In view of this, the Cabinet has decided to constitute a ‘National Recruitment Agency’ to take the Common Eligibility Test. Union Minister Jitendra Singh termed the decision as historic and said that initially the examinations of the three agencies would come under the ambit of the National Recruitment Agency.

Initially, it will be covered under the Railway Recruitment Examination, Recruitment Examination of Banks and Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
