OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 Getting OxygenOS 11.0.4.1 Update With Call Interface Fix, Latest Security Patch

OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 are being updated, starting in 2019 to bring the October 2021 Android security patch to the flagship smartphone series. In addition, the update also bundles some bug fixes-including call interface fixes-and improved OnePlus 7 series smartphones. The update is being launched in the global market and will reach Europe soon, but there is no mention that the update will reach Indian users soon.

The OnePlus 7 series comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box, and subsequently received Android 10 and Android 11 updates. The OxygenOS 11.0.4.1 update for OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 was announced via a post on the official community forum. The update is currently being rolled out globally and in Europe. OnePlus did not specifically mention whether Indian users will also receive the update, because Indian phones do not list the firmware version.

OnePlus has improved the system stability of its flagship smartphone launched in 2019. In addition, the update also claims to solve the display delay problem of the incoming call interface. The biggest USP for OnePlus 7 series updates is the bundled October 2021 Android security patch.

The global and European firmware versions of OnePlus 7 Pro are 11.0.4.1.GM21AA and 11.0.4.1GM21BA, respectively. The firmware version of vanilla OnePlus 7 is 11.0.4.1.GM57AA and 11.0.4.1GM57BA respectively as the firmware version for the global market and the European market. The size of the update is not mentioned, but it is recommended that users update their smartphones when they have a strong Wi-Fi connection and are charging.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.

The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.

Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.

It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
