PM announces Rs 2 lakh each for kin of deceased in Andhra’s road accident
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday offered his condolences to the families of those who died in a road accident in Ananthapuram, Andara, and announced that every item from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be provided to the next of kin Special compensation of Rs 2 lakh per person. .
“Sorrowful loss of life due to tragic accident in AP Annan Tablom district. Condolences to the family of the deceased. PMNRF will provide ex-gratia payments of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased: PM Modi,” PMO India tweeted Special wrote.
Nine people were killed when a car collided with a truck in Budagavi village in Anantapuram district of Andhra Pradesh.
The car was carrying a total of nine passengers, including the driver, according to Uravakonda Police Station Deputy Inspector Venkata Swamy.
The incident happened on Sunday.
“The victim is returning to Nimagalu. A police case has been opened and further investigations are underway,” Swami said.
Police said the truck lost control at high speed and hit a car coming from the opposite direction.
