The price of the Samsung Galaxy S22 has been announced online, and it is reported that the price of the upcoming flagship smartphone from the South Korean technology giant will be the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy S21. Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset in the United States in January this year. It is expected that the company will launch the Galaxy S22 smartphone series in February 2022. Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy S21 FE in January to catch up with the Consumer Electronics Show.
According to a report by SamMobile, although the company has not officially revealed any details of the smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is expected to be priced at US$799 (approximately Rs 60,300). Although Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S22 smartphone is expected to run the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood, the price of the vanilla Galaxy S22 model may be the same as its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S21.
Just like the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung has not disclosed the pricing details of the Galaxy S21 FE, which is expected to be launched in January. Readers may remember that the Galaxy S20 FE was launched in the United States in September 2020 and is equipped with the Snapdragon 865 chipset. It is priced at US$699 (approximately Rs 52,800), but it is not clear whether the Galaxy S21 FE will be as expensive as its predecessor. Samsung can equip the Galaxy S22 series with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Exynos, according to reports, the American variant. The Samsung Galaxy S22 may be equipped with a 6.06-inch full HD+ display, which is smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S22+, which is expected to launch a 6.55-inch display. Previous reports indicate that the Galaxy S22 model may be SM-S901U, which can provide 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connections, as well as Bluetooth and NFC support. On the front of the camera, Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ tend to be equipped with triple rear cameras. According to the specifications shared by the prompter Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the title is the 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture. These phones may be equipped with a 12-pixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 10-pixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and f/2.4 aperture. According to reports, they can also be equipped with a 10-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
