2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be offered with connected car tech features
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to unveil the high-end 2022 Baleno hatchback next week. India’s largest automaker has now teased the connected car technology features that the new Baleno will come with ahead of its February 23 launch.
The teaser video shows the Suzuki Connect app paired with the 2022 Maruti Baleno.
Equipped with an advanced telematics solution, the app promises to be smarter than previous versions and offer customers “a variety of smart features.” It will have over 40 connectivity features as well as Amazon Alexa voice commands.
The teaser video shows that the Suzuki Connect app contains several vehicle-related information, such as the fuel gauge, remaining mileage, odometer, and other important stats. The app also provides information on the overall condition of the car, turning on hazard lights remotely, and locking and unlocking the car.
In addition to connected car technology features, the new Baleno will offer other segment-first features such as a new 9-inch digital touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree cameras and a head-up display (HUD).
For 2022, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno features a redesigned wider front grille flanked by a new set of LED headlights with three-piece DRLs. On the sides, in addition to redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels, the new Baleno gets a chrome finish on the window lines. The rear will feature new wraparound LED taillights, and the rear bumper will also be updated to give it a more rounded appearance.
Leaked images of the new Balenos reveal other details. The 2022 Baleno’s cabin is upgraded with a new digital instrument cluster, updated steering wheel and new climate control switches. The interior has also been changed for a fresh look. However, Balenos won’t offer a sunroof option.
Maruti has already started bookings for the 2022 Baleno ahead of its launch next week. At launch, the 2022 Maruti Baleno will compete with the likes of the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3
Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.
The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.
Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.
It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
