Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 could launch in global markets with Qualcomm chipsets

According to reports, Xiaomi plans to launch its latest Redmi Note 11 series in the global market with a new design. The Vietnamese news website The Pixel stated that the new smartphones may be available in the first quarter of 2022. The Redmi Note 11 series recently debuted in China, including standard models, Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ versions. According to reports, the global version will include the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset instead of the MediaTek Dimensity processor on the Chinese model. According to the leak of the Vietnamese portal Pixel, we can also see different designs on the back panel of the Redmi Note 11 series.

Given that most of the Redmi Note series in the past used Snapdragon processors, it is not surprising that Xiaomi has adopted Qualcomm chipsets in the global market. Redmi Note 8 Pro is one of the few devices equipped with MediaTek processors in 2019. It is supported by MediaTek G90T chipset. At the same time, another Twitter who used @chunvn8888 on Twitter claimed that this may be due to a shortage of supplying MediaTek chipsets at the Xiaomi factory. The prompter also hinted that the new phone may be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 778G Plus and Snapdragon 695 processors. It should be noted that the shortage of chip supply currently plagues most companies and affects overall supplier shipments. The standard Redmi Note 11 smartphone has a 6.60-inch display.

It was launched in China, using the eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, equipped with 4GB of memory and 128GB of storage space. It has a 5,000mAh battery under the hood. There is also a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP main camera and an 8MP camera. It has a 16MP front camera for selfies. It is sold in three colors, including Black Field, Light Dream Galaxy, and Light Mint. Connection options include Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C. At the same time, Redmi Note 11 Pro has a slightly larger 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 320Hz touch sampling support.

This running MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, equipped with a 5,160mAh battery, supports 67W fast charging and rear 108MP main camera, as well as 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and 2MP macro camera. Redmi Note 11 Pro+ has a similar display, but runs MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, and is equipped with a smaller 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging. The rear camera is the same as Redmi Note 11 Pro.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.

The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.

Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.
