Corona Infection Confirmed In 20 Employees Before UP Assembly Session Begins
Two days before the commencement of the monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, 20 Assembly members have been found to be Corona positive. Security personnel is also found to be Corona positive. Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit said that the corona test of 300 employees was done, out of which 20 were infected.
The sample results of some employees are yet to come. According to an official of the Assembly Secretariat, one of those found to be Corona positive is also an officer of the rank of Under Secretary. The speaker has asked all the MLAs to undergo a corona test before the session begins.
We have arranged for all the members to have a test near the MLA residence. Apart from this, testing has also been arranged in Vidhan Bhavan Complex, the speaker said. The MLC of the Samajwadi Party has written a letter to the Chairman of the Legislative Council, requesting the inclusion of members over 60 in the online session from home.
