Motorola Edge X Launch Confirmed by Company Executive

Motorola is preparing to launch another smartphone named Motorola Edge X in the Edge series. The upcoming smartphone was teased by a Lenovo executive, but did not reveal much relevant information. The technology giant launched Motorola Edge S Pro and Motorola Edge Lite in China in August, which are renamed versions of Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Motorola Edge 20 respectively.

It is speculated that Motorola Edge X will become the flagship smartphone in the Edge lineup. Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile business group, posted on Weibo that Motorola plans to launch a new smartphone-Motorola Edge X. The post did not reveal much information about the smartphone, but as mentioned above, it is speculated to be a new flagship smartphone. It is said that this smartphone is also a game-oriented smartphone.

Jin shared a trailer for the upcoming smartphone with a slogan-“Moto Edge X is infinitely powerful and full of expectations.” Motorola launched Motorola Edge S Pro and Motorola Edge Lite in China in August. These two smartphones are Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Motorola Edge 20 renamed versions. Motorola’s current flagship uses a 6.7-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixel) flexible OLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. It is powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

Motorola Edge S Pro has a triple rear camera setup, titled 108 megapixel main sensor. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie sensor. This phone is equipped with a 4,520mAh battery and supports 30W TurboPower fast charging. Motorola Edge Lite is equipped with the same 6.7-inch Full HD + (1,080×2,400 pixels) flexible OLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz.

Under the hood, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G SoC with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. It gets a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel main sensor as the title. For selfies, it has a 32 megapixel shooter. This phone is equipped with a 4,020mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Diljit added, “The greatest magic in India is yoga.” PM Modi agreed, saying, “Those who have experienced yoga know its power.”

The singer-actor also admired PM Modi’s personal journey, saying, “I had watched your interview, sir. The position of Prime Minister is great, but behind it, there is a mother, a son, and a human being. Many times, this half-truth is much larger when you carry your mother and the sacred Ganga with you. That touches the heart.”

Diljit then sang a song on Guru Nanak, as PM Modi listened intently, beating the adjacent table like a dholak, matching his beats with Diljit’s.

After the meeting, Diljit Dosanjh expressed his gratitude, calling it a “fantastic” way to start the year. He posted on X, “A fantastic start to 2025. A very memorable meeting with PM @narendramodi Ji. We talked about many things, including music, of course!”

PM Modi responded to Dosanjh’s post, describing their meeting as “a great interaction.” He said, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture, and more.”

Diljit recently concluded his Dil-Luminati tour in India with a grand performance in Ludhiana. Throughout his concerts at various venues, the singer aimed to address important social issues during his performances.
