The emergence of the Omicron strain of the new coronavirus has made the government cautious about resuming international flights. It issued new guidelines on Sunday, listing more than a dozen countries “at risk” and removing exemptions for vaccinated people.

These rules are designed to curb the spread of Omicron variants.

After more than 20 months of long-term interruption, the government announced on November 26 that it would resume regular international commercial flights from December 15. The flight is currently undergoing bilateral bubble arrangements with various countries. These are the countries where the Omicron response cases were established.
