The Successor to the Redmi Note 11 Series Has Been Teased Ahead of Time, and It Will Include Performance-Oriented Smartphones

The launch of Redmi’s upcoming Redmi Note series smartphone has been teased. The company is working on a successor to its Redmi Note 11 line, but hasn’t said whether it will be called the Redmi Note 12 series or not. The Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 11 series of smartphones were released by Xiaomi last year. According to the company, the upcoming smartphones will offer a significant performance boost over their predecessors. Meanwhile, a source claims that the upcoming phones will be from the Redmi Note 11T series.

Lu Weibing, Redmi’s General Manager, recently posted a teaser of the upcoming Redmi Note series on Weibo, indicating that the series will be released in China soon. A poster with the word Note, a space, and a question mark appears in the teaser. According to Weibing’s post, the company is taking suggestions for the name of the upcoming smartphone lineup so that it can be distinguished from the previous Redmi Note 11 lineup. The post does not specify when the phones will be released in China, nor does it specify whether they will be known as the Redmi Note 11T or the Redmi Note 12.

Redmi Note successor tipped to be priced in the CNY 1,599 to CNY 2,500 (roughly Rs. 17,400 to Rs. 28,900) price range, according to tipster. Weibing also points out that since 2021, Redmi has launched two generations of Note series handsets in a year. The top-of-the-line model will feature a 144Hz LCD panel, which is said to be in demand in China.

The handset with model number 22041216C is thought to be the Redmi Note 11T, which has a 4,980mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging, while model number 22041216UC is thought to be the Redmi Note 11T Pro, which has a 4,300mAh battery and 120W fast charging support. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Pro were the previous names for these smartphones.
